Which Classic Story Role Do You Play?

- You Are The Wayward Heart
"Feel Better."

You are best described as 'Emotional Support'. Anytime an emotional issue comes up or something stresses people out, you are there to help them feel better about it. Whether you are the prankster of the bunch, the funny one, the wild one, or just the shoulder to cry on - your traits favor what it takes to keep people going. You like large groups of people and have many friends. When something hits home for you, however, you have a hard time with it. You also have difficulty paying attention or focusing on one thing. Above all, though, if people are happy, you are happy.

Ok... seriously....

When I left last night for bed, I was saying how I didn't really want to go to bed so early because I would be up at like 5am. Well, I got up more like 5:30am. Not for the reason I thought it was, but I was up because the police called. Apparently, the alarm at the the office had been going off and that the back door was open. Lovely. Though, it looked like just one of the back doors had blown open because of the wind (have I said that the wind has been INSANE lately?) So, yeah, the police have been back and forth this morning. Oy. Neither of us have showered, so, we will have to go back home. I'm not really sleepy, just in a bit of a daze. Tonight may also be an earlier night, though. ;)

What a day

Well, second day of the week, and my brain is already fried. Today at lunch, we went to our normal place. We were joking about Wendell having lost his SS card at the end. As we were leaving, I realized I didn't have the van key. Ooops. Double check my pockets and even looked in my purse. Nothing. We figured that the reason the van wouldn't lock earlier, was because th key was still in the ignition. Ok, a minor blonde moment. No big deal. Then... we get to the van and notice its still running. Minor blonde moment has evolved it massive blonde moment. I mean, seriously, what the hell....

I'm just gonna blame it on me being still drained from last week's sickness. I've been much sicker and in more pain, but never as scared as I was on Friday, which sent me rushing to Instant Care Center.

Last week, I had one hell of a sore throat... might as well have swallowed miniature razor blades coated in salt. Motrin (800MG) would work for a few hours, then I had to drink some type of sodium enriched drinks to keep the pain level down. I tried gargling salt water and even gargling a cinnamon concoction. Nothing really helped. On Friday, I woke up feeling a million times better. At least until started brushing my teeth. Apparently, my uvula had swelled to three times it's normal size. It didn't get bad until it somehow lodged itself up on the back of my tongue, which induced a gagging fit and blocked my airway. So, I was basically choking on my own uvula. It wasn't easy to dislodge it and it was super easy to re-lodge it back on top of my tongue. Had this happened repeatedly. The last time... not sure how long it lasted... but it scared me and Wendell.

I ended up going straight to the Instant Care Center. Got there at 9am. Wasn't seen until 10am. That's really instant. =p They swabbed me for Strep (which the swabbing felt more like a stabbing) and made me wait about another half hour. Finally the doctor came in. He didn't seem to concerned until I described what had happened that morning. At which point he told me I was getting a shot of steroids. Then, after some thinking, he wrote me a prescription and told me that I would also be getting a shot of antibiotics. One shot in each ass cheek. Ok... it's only been about 20-25 years since I had to have a shot there. Didn't like this idea, but liked the idea of choking less.

So, the nurse came in and gave me the steroid shot. Not so bad. Then came the antibiotics shot. Oh lord... that frickin thing HURT. Not the shot itself, but the antibiotics. HOURS later, it was still hurting. I walked a bit funny too. But dammit, my uvula was back to normal the next day. =p

So, yes, my blonde moment came from the stress of last week. That's it. Really.

Ugh

You know, it's just not right that it's colder inside my house than outside. *sigh*

Saturday afternoon, the furnace goes kaput, again. We had to have it fixed around this time last year. And now it's out again. Apparently, mom is somewhat psychic and bought us a water-filled radiator for christmas. We used it last night to keep the bedroom and a lovely 70 degrees. THough it certainly was a rude awakening when you come out of the bedroom and into the below 50 degree house. :p

So, now I spend even more of my time at the office rather than at home...

And... it'll be a few days before anyone comes to fix the furnace too... and I'm sure it'll be a cool grand to fix it. *rolls eyes*

Seriously...

This is getting ridiculous.... I was at work yesterday from 9am until 1am!!!!!!!!!!!!! Ok, so I didn't work the ENTIRE time, but it was damn near close. I had went home for about 15 minutes at one point to look for a cd... knew should have brought my laptop with me since it has my programs on it, I could have used it to log on. But I didn't think I would be staying so late. Stupid me. :p

If I wasn't doing actual work, I was working on the new TMNT RP page. I've changed it up a lot since I last showed anyone. Moved it to a better server and domain host, and made it into a CMS style website. That means more than just me can update this thing. Thank goodness! tmntrp.com or tmnt-rp.com will work. Only the front page and the gallery currently work, soon to have the links to the journals up, though. If you guys have any pics you want added, please please send them to me. That's the one thing not just anyone can update.

So glad I got it away from the 1&1 hosting people. Just a terrible service and almost didn't get my domains away from them. Oy.

Ugh... I am having to sit here and wait on hubby to finish talking on the phone with a client. He stole my laptop this morning when he left. Then bribed me that if I wanted it back, I had to come here and take him to lunch. *sigh* Now I'm stuck here again!

Ugh

Man... I'm starting to hate these 12+ hour days. Ok... yeah, I took a break from 4:30 - 7, but still! ;)

Anyway, the home computer is still down. The battery backup died yesterday and even though I've told hubby repeatedly and he says he has a spare, my computer is still down because I don't have a battery backup. And he wonders why I get sarcastic when he says he'll does stuff for me immediately. *rolls eyes* Tomorrow I'll either buy another surge protector as the one i use is full or buy my own damn battery backup.

He's going to be gone tomorrow. Hoping to put the final coat of paint on the dining room walls tomorrow. I've only been meaning to do that for over a month now. =p Whenever I think I have time, he changes my plans.

Tonight, though... will be filled with me stuffing envelopes for mailing tomorrow. Invoicing sucks!!! I'm also hoping tomorrow to get the van cleaned out... and then there's working on a video I need to do. *sigh* The weekends seem so short. =p

At least all Christmas shopping is done and wrapped. Just have one package to mail off, but it's not a rush as it also counts for b-day gift. Just need to make sure I have his home address right ;)

But for now... I bid you all a g'night

I'm freaking bored... and my eyes actually teared up. Oy.

Having to wait on hubby so that can do some work. He promised to show me the steps I need to do to make stuff work, and I have to wait until 8 or 9 to do other work because crazies work late purposefully.

I was trying to move the tmntrp page over to hubby's hosting services... but dammit... 1&1 Hosting are being bitches about it. I really really really don't like them.

And I still don't have that damn letter from hubby! *shakes fist at him*

Well....

I know I actually made a post the other night... thought I'd make one more before I have to leave for the Youmacon trip. Trying to prepare for that has been a royal pain. My plans never fall through the way I want them to because of my dear hubby. *sigh*

Friday... came home an hour early because I was sick... verge of throwing up sick. This is getting to be a more frequent feeling. :/ So, I went to sleep. Slept for about two hours... which happened to be the two hours that everyone decided to call during. Still wasn't feeling well when I got up, but I did it anyway. Got a small, small, small bite of food in me... did I mention it was small? Felt much better. Then we actually ordered dinner. Pizza, breadsticks, and chicken wings... yeah, didn't really eat that much of it. And couldn't eat very much because I was on the phone pretty much that entire night. Thank goodness for headsets. Stayed up late chitchatting on Friday. VERY late. I'm talking 4am late. My own fault... between the nap and THREE cans of Coke Zero, I doomed myself. But this was good practice for this upcoming weekend. *shutter*

Saturday came and Wendell started waking me at 8:30am. Death!!!!!!!!! I couldn't move. I said screw it and kept pulling the blanket back over my head. So, I crawled out around 11... 11:30. I had so many plans for the day... so many... *sigh* Course it was sprinkling and cold all day long. Wendell was already gone to work... so I drove over to pick him up. While waiting, I called Julie, my buddy from previous job. Opened a can of worms!! Oh my god. She told me everything that has been going on. I almost feel bad about leaving. Almost. Its just too ridiculous for me there now. Oy. So, Wendell and I went to lunch. He wasn't happy as I was talking to Julie the entire way there. *shrug*

After lunch, he begged me to go do work with him. So I did. I apparently can't turn down the begging. Plus it will help with making up some hours. Anyway, I was just suppose to do the supply run. I can do that, needed to go to Lowe's anyway. So we go to the client's place and survey what needs to be done and bought and I head out. I spent an hour looking for two items. Nothing is as he described. I had to guess. Didn't even brother with getting my stuff. As I walk out of the store, I see that he has called and txted me. Great... there's more stuff to buy. I only asked him five times before leaving if he needed anything else! The rage was building. Called and swore at him for a few, then went in and bought the additional stuff. Then I was back on my way. Oy.

He told me at that time it would only take one more hour, if I help. Cool, I can do that. This was at 3:30. We didn't finish up until 8:30. I was not happy. All I had to eat that day was a few bites of a "Naked Chicken Burrito" from Qdoba (for those that don't know, its a burrito without the tortilla) and only that diet coke from there too. That was it. So, I was hungry and thirsty. We agreed that if we would go to a movie and get dinner once we're done and cleaned up. Ok... by the time we were done, and cleaned up it was after 9pm. Movies started in 20-40 minutes (the time it would take to drive there). So, we wouldn't be able to eat anything. Yeah, I was getting furious. He would rather have seen a movie that get anything to eat. WTF. We kinda went back and forth about stuff for a bit... then I threw my keys down and told him if he wanted food to go out and get it himself. Then I went to bed. He left and went back to the office, making sure to slam the door. Damn, I couldn't get up the stairs fast enough to slam the bedroom door first. :P

So, I slept more. Course, I was waking up before daybreak. Everything was fine though, when I got up. I was still starving, but I was ok. We decided to get breakfast from Sonic's... mainly because I wanted their fat free strawberry smoothies. They be so good. I did get a a sausage egg ciabatta bistro sandwich, which is usually good... but oh my god... it was salty, as was his sausage egg burrito. *sigh* Couldn't eat breakfast. Next thing I know, I have the headache from hell and that nausea feeling back. *twitch*

I wanted to clean today since I couldn't yesterday. :( Ended up trying to lay down to fight off the headache... between the salt loaded sandwich and the extreme filth and dust from the client's place yesterday, I was having some serious headaches and sinus problems that really haven't left. I did force myself to Wal-Mart and picked up an air purifier for the bathroom. See... we have mold issues because SOMEONE *glares at hubby* takes showers at insane temperatures and we do not have a ventilation system in that room. Mold Heaven. So... I had to bleach the ceiling. Again. Made me sicker. I tried not to cry.And of course, people had me on the phone again. I mainly ignored them and continued to clean. Finally realized I couldn't look up at the ceiling anymore and smell the cholrine anymore. Great... my nose has become super sensitive again. The slightest smell made me ill. Tried a faint lotion to remove the chlorine and latex smell from my hands. Made me worse and almost pass out. Washed my hands with various soaps.*horns of heaven* The headache started to fade. Did a nasal wash thing. Oh my... the headache was gone as was the nausea. Thank the gods! I can move without wanting to puke!

At this point, I picked up the hubby and we went to Lexington, not to a movie, but we did go get food. Yay Eggplant Parmigania. Then we did a little shopping.. picked up two PC Games and a laptop bag for that monster I have. THen a couple of books -- Fables Volume 9 (please start reading Fables if you haven't -- best damn book out there) and then HP Lovecraft's collected stories. And then, we came home. I started cleaning. He however, felt like shit. I was trying to wash dishes, he was trying to sleep. He did not like the noises. Oy. Needs to be done. Cleaned up the computer room a bit. Yay. But by then, it was well after dark. Heated up my leftovers from lunch. Then hubby wanted some more time with me, knowing that I'm going to be gone for a week. He's not happy that I'm leaving... too much work to do and he is very dependent upon me. Oh well... he's sucking the life from me... I need to get away. =p

So, there you have it... reasons I've been quiet last few days. I'm hoping to get more cleaning done tonight. Finish up the computer room, move the dining chairs from the kitchen so it can be truly used, make sure the plants are well watered, clean the downstairs bathroom, do laundry, maybe even put away the clothes upstairs, and arrange a week's worth of clothes for him to wear while I'm gone (yes, he is THAT helpless anymore). All this must be done before Wednesday at noon, because at that time, I will be packing so that I may leave by 1. Plus, I'll have to work late both days to make enough time, AND play counselor to a couple of people. We'll see how this goes...

And my schedule for the convention... isn't pretty. In fact, it's the ugliest thing I've ever seen. One night.... 1 hour of sleep. WTF. Oh, I can feel the rage already.

So, I probably won't bother with IRC for a while. Or even really AIM. If you desparately need to reach me, phone me. If you don't have my phone number, email me... I can usually swing a minute to get in touch with ya.

Crap... should have been doing work rather than this... now I have a meeting to take care of before I have to do my errands... not enough time in the day anymore... :(

Update

Since I haven't updated in a long time, I thought it might be time to update anyone who cares about what's been going on.

Well, I've obviously left my old job and went to working for the hubby. Its frustrating at times, being the new person and sometimes its not possible for him to teach me things that I need to know and he also has a bad habit of leaving out some details. Things have progressed over the last two months though, which is good. I've mainly been working on websites. The main website so far has been LifeNet Card. I didn't design it... but I did have designing in the pictures and putting in all the info, as well as fighting with the flash animation. The other two websites are for the Kentucky Herb Association and Saint Mark's Catholic Parish, both of which I'm currently working on.

Apparently from what I've heard, I got out at a good time from my previous job. The shit is just piling up more and more. I usually have lunch with my friend from there and she fills me in on all the crap. It use to be me and her doing all the work. Now it's just all her. I feel bad for abandoning her, but still... *shrugs*

I've also taken a week long trip to visit my friend up in New York. That was fun. On that trip, we went to Toronto. My first time out of the country. Heheheh. Definitely go across the border on like a Tuesday. Took no more than 30 minutes each way. Toronto was nice, just like being in any other metro area. The Science Center was cool for the most part. I think if I had gone there when I was a kid it would have been awesome. BUT! The Titanic Exhibit was definitely worth the admission. It was incredible to see all the artifacts they have brought back from from the wreckage. Most of the time was spent at Rochester. They had a cool science center as well. Their exhibit.... the Human Body. It was disturbing... for anyone who may have a weak stomach or who has trouble looking at the insides of a real body. Yes, the bodies were real and plasticized. But overall, the trip was fun... and I still hate Cleveland. ;)

That's about all there is to report... next week, I'm going up to Michigan to help out at Youmacon.

Episode I: Sunday Nights with Mickey

Ok, this isn't my adventure, but my buddy who moved to the state of New York. He's always got a good story. I nearly laughed till it hurt, considering I had to hold it in while I'm at work. =p

................

When I was just about to fall asleep last night, I heard Wes yell, "Bobby!" I sighed and got out of bed, and made my way to the kitchen. There I saw Wes pointing at the side of the wall. "I think we have a mouse," he whispered, almost in an attempt not to scare the mouse or me.

"What do we do?" I muttered. I didn't see the mouse at first, and all of a sudden he scampered across the base of the wall. I remember being told by Roy (who is the king of infestations) that mice travel along the bases of walls. The mouse stopped and panted. "Kill it!" Wes said as if passing judgment was as easy as wiping his ass.

"I am not going to kill it. He might fuck up my karma. Do you think if I sucked him up in the vacuum cleaner he would be alright, and we can then take him back outside?" I don't like killing things animals that accidentally find themselves in my inhabitants; albeit,  flies, mosquitoes, and things with stingers are fair fucking game.  But then again I thought otherwise. Visions of the mouse being stuck in the vacuum hose were not pretty at all. I could see Wes and me performing an abortion on the vacuum, trying to use a wire hanger to dislodge the mouse--blood and guts gushing everywhere.

Wes and I stood there silently watching the mouse. "He is awfully cute." I said.

"You know, Bob, I don't think that is a mouse. It looks like a mole. I mean. I can't see its ears."

"He does have a little tail, but I think it is a field mouse. What do mice look like in New York?" I said.

"Are you fucking retarded? A mouse is a mouse. We have to get him out of here. I am just glad he is one of those big nasty New Yorker mouse—you know the ones the Italians brought over from Italy."

"You're right, Wes. Those fuckers love cheese." So what are we going to do? I mean. You are the one who has a Chemistry degree, and you are a MILLION times smarter than me."

All of the sudden the mouse/mole hybrid started to move, and Wes and I ……

to be continued….
