16 weeks....

Wow... its been 16 weeks since I last made a post......  I don't even remember what I posted those 16 weeks ago. Then again, its getting harder for me to remember what I did 16 minutes ago... Maybe 16 seconds ago too... apparently, I have forgotten what it was I wanted to type up...

Hmm...

Maybe it'll come to me later. Hopefully it won't take another 16 weeks to post it.

ANYWAY... while I'm here... I'll ramble on about other things, because rambling is FUN.

I've fixed up that pesky #TMNTRP page some more. Its back to being editable by others just because I really don't have the time to keep it up all the time. I've given out username, passwords, and an instruction manual to Ivey, Raph, and Fae. If there's anyone else out there that needs a username and password to update their information, please let me know and I'll forward that to you. I might work on the design some more later on when I'm not buried beneath other work. Only taking this moment out as I've got some stuff uploading to the file server.

I'm really looking forward to being able to get away at some point this year with hubby. We didn't get to last year due to insanity at work on his part. This year so far, hasn't been too bad until recently. I've been staying until after 5 and usually working both Saturday and Sunday for a bit, except for those SUndays when my family came down to help cut and remove the fallen trees from our yard.

The storm's side effects have been mostly taken care of though. Some more tree limbs need to be picked up and we probably should fill in the holes the branches left in the ground when they hit. And then there's fixing the sun porch after some of the limbs went through the screen. Its just now a bad time of year for me. This weekend, I drove around town a lot with the windows down. People were cutting their grass and I could suddenly feel my chest tighten from the smell.  Ugh... hate allergy season.

Hmm... what else to ramble on... Not sure... I'm sure there's more, but nothing is coming to me right now. Well, files are uploaded, now off to go fight them to work! :p

Hmm...

Ok, lately I've been dying to make another fanvid. Why? I've been having to do a lot of video editing and such lately at the office and I forgot how much I love it (no matter how infuriating Premiere can be).

So, now I'm taking commissions/ideas. ;)

Not sure how many hits I'll get from this and may end up doing my own once I get inspired on what to do. But I do always love collaborations.

Guh....

Ok, yeah, I've been somewhat quiet again. It's been a terrible time lately with work being insane, sicknesses, company visiting, etc, etc.
Last weekend, my sister visited. We were suppose to have gone to the ScareFest that was being held in Lexington. I was very excited about it because I'd never been to a strictly horror convention. This one also included a paranormal side, which was really cool even if Barry from GhostHunters International backed out. Alas... my sister was lazy and wouldn't get out of bed and ready to go to it. So, I missed it. We instead went shopping where she spent far too much money, but was then mad at me for not loaning her ten dollars so she could buy something that she really, really, really wanted. I can't stand it anymore when people look to me to cover their ass from them spending too much money. It happens all too frequently. It really pisses me off when people whine about not having money when they spend what they do have on trivial items or trips. But I'm not going to go there, because I will rant and rave for hours. Raph knows this all too well ;) On Sunday, I thought we were going to be able to do something fun... go to the Renaissance Festival. Again, Dee was being lazy and we left nearly two hours later than what I wanted to leave. Course, they raised the prices too, when we did finally get there. Guess we need to get use to that in this economy. Though it would have been really fun had there not been winds up to 30mph with gusts up to 60mph!!!! It was insane!!!! Trees were just snapping in half. Very dangerous. So, we merely got to watch the mudshow and the jousting match. Mind you, I said watch, not listen because you couldn't hear a damn thing. I had talked Wendell into going with us on one condition, we would stop at Smokey Bones for lunch/dinner. Well, we tried...but they were closed due to the electricity being out. In fact, the entire city of Florence was out of power. Did I mention we nearly ran out of gas? We drove for about a half hour to an hour after I first started looking for a gas station. None were open due to the power outage, and those that were open were so packed you couldn't pull into the parking lot. Thank goodness for Wendell's phone having GPS capabilities.

Then, the rest of last week was covered with work from 9am til sometimes 1am. I know one night I fell asleep at my desk around 12:30am and wendell woke me to go home at 1:30am. My desk needs to be raised higher for proper sleep though. :P

Then the bad struck hard this past Friday. I thought I was going to loose Wendell, due to him not being able to read. Our local Kroger's has a sushi chef and there had been some sushi prepared earlier that day that Wendell had picked up. Wendell has an allergy to a preservative which is used on fish, shrimp, and other non-shelled seafood. Most of the sushi was made with crab. Though, he can eat Salmon and Tuna. He grabbed a piece, thinking it was Tuna but turned out to be Tilapia. Tilapia is soaked in the preservative and he had a reaction. He was hearing his own heartbeat in his head to which I say was about 150 or so. Then it dropped to well below a 100. As his heart rate dropped, so did his BP. He tried throwing up, and got just enough out to get more regulated. The rest of the night, I tried to watch over him. For it to scare him as bad as it did, it means that it was very very bad... Maybe now he'll look before he inhales.

Saturday was just wrought with more work. Then Sunday, was more work, but... from having to watch videos for editing, I accidentally scratched my own eye. It's bad. Finally went to the doc yesterday, and he said I scratched it in the worst possible way. So right now, I'm on an antibiotic-steriod eye drop that should help heal it and keep down the infection. Right now, its like looking at something without my glasses on. Its all blurry and getting worse by the minute. I'm trying to keep working, but it's getting more difficult. Wendell actually built a tent for me at the office to block out the sunlight, which really hurts and makes it harder to see.

So, hopefully things will be better by this weekend. We're suppose to go see Jeff Dunham in concert. I've been looking forward to this for a long time now. So, here's hoping...

Worst part of being in a relationship....

When they get sick... you're surely to get sick.

Hubby picked up some kind of chest cold recently. First it starts out as an achy feeling in your chest, though considering the timing we both thought it was just from the stress and anxiety that came from office drama. Then came the cough and sore throat. He started having the problems first with the sore throat and cough. Mine stuck as just chest ache and overall blah. Friday though, we both got hit hard with the flat out exhaustion. He actually went home after lunch. Very unusual. I went with as well, and we both passed out for a few hours.

We're still feeling it. I've been drinking more stuff with Vitamin C, green tear, etc than he has... but the drainage has begun and my throat is sooooooooo very raw right now.

I hate sicknesses... especially when there's a very full weekend coming up...

First, gotta pick up my sister on Friday. Saturday, she and I are going shopping and also catching the ScareFest Horror/Paranormal Convention. We may also be seeing the 35mm Print showing of Friday the 13th with original cast introduction at midnight. Then Sunday, mom my sister and I may be going up to the Renaissance Festival in Ohio. It's about 2 hours away from where I live, but worth the drive. Dee doesn't know she's being dragged to this yet... so, she may put a damper on the festivities when she throws a tantrum. Ahhh... teenagers... :P

Here's hoping I'm capable of walking and moving around for more than 15 minutes before wanting to pass out. :P

New internet browser

Most of you know how much I loathe internet explorer. Even when I web program, I have a bad bad bad habit of not checking how it looks in IE... well, now there's a new browser out there by Google.

So far, I'm amazed. Its the fastest browsing experience I've had. Its not cluttered with crap or runs everything to bog down your browser. I have even tested it with Flash, and it works!! I'm sure there will be a few other things I'll need to check into before I give the A-ok on it. Certainly not my default browser just yet. Its still in Beta mode, but honestly, a Google Beta mode is runs better than a Microsoft final release mode.

It will take a bit to get use to as it doesn't have the normal menus right off the bat, but with some searching you can find them and get them loaded up.

So, go check it out: http://www.google.com/Chrome

Bear witness to the rule of Dooooooooooooooom!

Your result for The Supervillain Archetype Test...

The Megalomaniac

Ambitious, Intelligent, Calculating

The Megalomaniac is the most prestigious of super-villain classes. If anyone is ever going to rule the world, it will probably be you.

Your main goal in life is power and domination, you have the tools to do it, and you know it. Megalomaniacs are intelligent and forceful, and they tend not to let their emotions cloud their judgment. Most of the time. They are usually found, or not found, working at the top of a huge structured organization, though many prefer to work by themselves.

The Megalomaniac has but one flaw, but its an invariably fatal one; arrogance. He knows that he can take over the world, and he isn't afraid to let you know, often elaborately and in great detail. They often do not foresee the fly in their ointment, because they do not want to admit that such a fly could exist.

Sample Megalomaniacs: Dr. Doom, Lex Luthor, Ras al'Ghul, Kang the Conqueror, Emperor Palpatine, Brain

Your result for The Ohmigod Test...

Ra - The Sun God

56% Goodness, 44% Vengeful, 78% Lawful and 67% benevolence!

Ra (Pronounced Rah) is the sun god. He's a major deity and has been worshipped so since the fifth dynasty of Ancient Egypt. He's identified primarily with the mid-day sun. The chief cult centre of Ra first was based in Heliopolis (ancient Inunu) meaning "City of the Sun".People who believe in Ra, believe that he commands sky, earth, underworld. He is also the father of all of the Pharohs.Followers of Ra are also monotheistic and believe that all other deities are aspects, manifestations, phases, or forms of the one true god. (Much like the Buddhist and Hindu religions)If Egyptology isn't your bag however you may just enjoy worshipping any run of the mill sun god. You won't be alone, for people have worshipped the sun for all recorded history and you can find influences of this worship in everything from Wicca to any monotheistic religion. Those who worship him believe in Power, Enlightenment, and Hard Work.

Phrase of the day...

Ok... I have a phrase of the day, that I should learn to live by... and that is:
Shut up and Refresh.

Why? Well, I've had a big project these last few months. Not so much as big in lots of work to do, but that it was very important and had to be done to perfection. No pressure, right? *snort*

Well, I was til after midnight last night doing little things for this as I wasn't suppose to post anything online until July 9th. I certainly wasn't a last minute kind of person on this task. I had everything prepared by last week, just had to wait til last minute to post them. *grumble*

Anyway, got everything posted first thing this morning. Up til 1am, awake at 6am. Not a happy camper. Heh. So, I check everything to make sure all is still good around 10am. Click on the main item, which is suppose to send someone to Ticketmaster. *click, blink* Where's ticketmaster?! WHY is it sending me to this other page?? OH CRAP!!!

Panic attack mode initiated.

I freak out, Hubby comes over and looks at me trying to find out what's wrong. I go to show him, and this time it leads to Ticketmaster. *blinkblink huh??* He laughs, telling me I just needed to refresh the page.

Hence... Shut up and refresh.

Fate...

Ok, I'm not one to really believe in coincidence. But I do think things happen for a reason. Every choice you make leads to other choices you make. Like, if you turn left, good things happen. IF you turn right, bad things may happen. *winks to Raph*

Here's my story....

Fate played a major role yesterday. I left the office in a huff, as I hate being given a project with such vague descriptions that I have no idea what the project is suppose to accomplish. I decided to walk down to Water Street to get home, rather than the normal Main Street trot. Well, I made it to 2nd street intersection, when I hear a horn honking. I look around and barely see that it’s Jen, a friend of mine from a former work place who is incredibly difficult to get in touch with. She pulls into the bank parking lot across the street, and I go meet her. She ends up taking me home, and we sit and chat for about an hour.

I was planning on leaving hours before, but kept getting held up at work. Then I just leave at a certain moment, take a different route, and not take the van even though it was hot. Drew, her son, was with her, and he found the Wii and played it while we talked about things. I think the talk helped her out with realizing things about herself and her marriage. Plus, i also found out today is her birthday. We and another of our friends are now going to try and go out on Friday night to celebrate. :)

Fate… I tell, ya. Fate.

Its that time of year again....

Allergy season for me.... ugh.... that's why I'm up before daybreak... can't sleep from being unable to breathe and unable to stop sneezing. I've been up for about an hour so far and didn't go to bed til about 11:30... so, not a lot of sleep, but it will have to do...

Why did it have to come on in the middle of the night?!??

At least the office photos were taken before the allergies hit, even if I despise the fact that we had to take them. oy. We all had to dress up today because of a big meeting that a startup company we're letting use our conference room as office had yesterday. We all were hoping it would help them get past that barrier of being a great product idea to being a great SELLING product idea. http://www.lifenetcard.com for anyone interested. It is a great idea, particularly for anyone who may have any type of medical problem that may give ya a problem if you have an emergency situation. This meeting was also the reason to why I basically killed myself earlier in the week to get the office cleaned. If the entire place was carpet, it would be easier to clean than hardwood floors. Oy. But I'm not sure how well the meeting went. They are somewhat unsure as well as the guy told them the same thing we already know, which is we need to sell the card. He offered a few small types and would help out if he sees a bit of the profit. *shrugs*

Anyway, after a grueling year of work, we're all taking a half day tomorrow and going out for sushi/habachi and seeing Iron Man. We're all excited, though I'm not sure at what most.... be it the movie, the sushi, or just not having to work part of the day. lol

Well, since I'm already up, I'm gonna go ahead and get ready for the day. Ugh... it's gonna be be hard to stay awake soon...
